Oasis Aquatic Gardens was founded in late 2008 after its founders, Anthony and Cynthia Nesbitt, discovered the tranquility of flowing water and the numerous benefits of rainwater harvesting. The company's main objective is to offer rainfall harvesting systems that will coincide with such feature as: waterfalls, streams, traditional & non-traditional ponds, fountains, geysers, landscape enhancements, rain gardens, stormwater management services, and consulting services for the do-it-yourselfers.

Our mission is to implement, inform, and create a set of standards for rainfall harvesting systems in central Kentucky. We feel that our standards will resolve drainage issues, non-point surface pollution, reduce demand on local municipals, and provide aeshetic appeal to the surroundings.

Kentucky currently does not have a "rainfall harvesting" manual to use as a guide for implementing such systems. Several states are utilizing these manuels to set a standard for LEED program and to comply with the "Green Industry Standards". It is our intentions to form the KRHA (Kentucky Rainfall Harvesting Alliance) in which, will allow membership into the IRHA (International Rainfall Harvesting Alliance) as an organization. OAG feels this would be an excellent opportunity for Kentucky to represent itself as a leader in rainfall harvesting, gray water reuse, and stormwater management.
